| Climate Policy Frameworks
Beyond 2012 The main objective of this project was
to identify and analyse promising ways forward for global climate
collaboration after the end of the Kyoto Protocols first commitment
period.
The project was structured around three
components:
- The first component provided a
global perspective on the architecture of future climate policy
collaboration.
- The second component analysed how
incentives could bring developing countries to global climate change
cooperation to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
- The third component synthesised the
lessons from the two other as a starting point for discussion
between stakeholders from the Nordic countries, and key developing
and industrialised countries.
The project was commissioned by the
Nordic Council of Ministers
and was jointly implemented by the
Centre for
International Climate and Environmental Research - Oslo (CICERO)
and UNEP Risoe Centre.
