The principal aims of
Development and Energy in Africa (DEA) project were:
-
to identify and examine the developmental
impacts of energy innovations and actions linked to improving energy
access and poverty alleviation, and
-
to use the information obtained to improve
on-going and future energy interventions through the energy policy makers
and institutions in the countries concerned.
The project was funded by the European Commission
under its
COOPENER programme, and co-financed by the
Danish Government through URC, and the Netherlands Government through
ECN.
Activities were implemented by a consortium of
African partners in the target countries:
