PACEAA was a three-year project under the EU
COOPENER programme, implemented by UNEP Risoe Centre,
IED (France),
AFREPREN/FWD (Kenya), and the
East African Tea Trade Association
(EATTA) based in Kenya.
The project addressed rural electrification as a means of
alleviating poverty, in particular using electricity from
agro-industries.
The three-year PACEAA project worked together with two larger
