| Information for the
Commercialisation of Renewable Energy in ASEAN
The overall goal of the project was to contribute
towards the further mainstreaming of renewable energy applications in the
ASEAN Region, in collaboration with the New and Renewable Sources of Energy Subsector Network (NRSE-SSN).
The project updated and expanded
information resources available at the ASEAN Center for Energy (ACE). It
also contributed European experience and approaches to the regional
dialogue on 4 key policy themes:
- Framework conditions and policy
instruments for fostering mainstreaming of renewables
- Harmonisation of PV standards
- Promotion of biomass technologies for
electricity production
- Potential role of carbon credits –
especially by the European trading scheme
This project was co-financed by the EC-ASEAN
Energy Facility and implemented by the Malaysian Energy Center (Malaysia),
Risoe National Laboratory (Denmark) and Innovation Energie Developpment
(France).
